Our 69th Bawdy Bookworms Box, Spring 2023, will be our final subscription box.
I founded Bawdy Bookworms over 8 years ago with the mission of empowering readers to explore their sexuality through romance novels and sex toys. I’m honored to see how many of you have joined our community and prioritized your pleasure through our subscription boxes.
This isn’t a decision that I’ve made lightly. Romance publishing and the adult toy industries have evolved since Bawdy Bookworms started. It’s easier to discover and purchase diverse and inclusive romances than it was eight years ago. Even access to high quality, budget-friendly sex toys has increased. Even though we have a long way to go in both industries, change is happening. YOU helped make that happen.
We’ll continue to focus our energy on our community and on future workshops on pleasure and self-care.
I’m also working with BIPOC and LBGTQ+ writers who want to bring their novels into the world. Diverse romance and representation matter now more than ever. Together, I know we can lift each other’s voices to have our stories heard.

While we won’t be producing any new subscription boxes, Bawdy Bookworms is still committed to lifting up inclusive romances and encouraging you to take pleasure in your own hands (pun intended). We’ll continue to offer sexual wellness products in our online shop so you can stock up on your favorite toys.

Changes to Bawdy Bookworms Quarterly Subscription:
Our Spring 2023 will be our last subscription box. How does that affect you?
- If you’re a subscriber, your subscription will renew one last time for the box. Effective Apr 20, 2023 all subscriptions will be canceled. There is nothing you need to do.
- As of today, you can purchase our 69th box as one-time purchase. Quantities are limited as we’ve allocated boxes to our VIP subscribers first
- We’ll continue to offer other one-time purchases boxes while supplies last
