As a self-proclaimed nerd, I have a think for nerdy and geeky romances. Something about a smart, sort of awkward man is super hot. Especially if he wears glasses. Oh, and he’s gotta be good in bed–or be willing to learn. Other times, I want to read a nerdy heroine. I want to put my geeky self in her shoes and be swept off my feet.
Since we have a #NerdLove box, why not share a list of sexy, nerdy romances?
Nerdy Reads That Will Push Your Hot Buttons
Hardwired by Meredith Wild: Hackers are the bad boys of the geek world. Blake London, rumored hacker, is now a billionaire (obviously) and wants Erica in more than just his boardroom. She’s not putting up with his arrogance even if their attraction is hard to resist. This is first of a series, so you’ll have plenty of nerdy hacker love to read.
Sated by Rebekah Weatherspoon: Keira loves comic books, fitness, and science fiction. Is it too much to ask to find a man who loves all those things, too? At her new gym, she meets Daniel Song, who is happy to indulge in erotic adventures–but without the commitment. Sparks fly when the two meet, but Keira is turned off by kink and Daniel–well, he lives for it. Can the find a sexy, middle ground? Note: This is part of a series, but it can be read as standalone.
Even Odds by Elia Winters: Looking for geeky kink? Slices of PI series follow the love lives of geeky employees at a gaming company. The first book features very profession Isabel, who decides to let loose at a gaming convention when you joins a risque scavenger hunt. She ends up having a romp with animator Caleb, without knowing he’s been hired to partner with her at her company. Can they manage to work together and remain professional?
Broken Resolutions by Olivia Dade Librarian Penny has resolved to quit men for the New Year. When her library holds a New Year’s Eve singles night, she meets Jack, a sexy but reclusive author. This is the first of the fun Lovestruck Librarian series.
Illicit Impulse by Alexa Day: We’ve featured this book in a past Pleasure Pairing, but it’s so hot we had to add it to this list. In this friends to lover romance, scientist John needs a test subject for his sex pill. His friend Grace reluctantly agrees, even though it will mean she has to report every sexy detail of her encounters on the pills’ effects. Can he keep his feelings in check and remain objective?
Dark Wild Night by Christina Lauren: Does an unconsummated and drunken Vegas marriage that is annulled count as a second chance romance? Lola and Oliver are glad that they didn’t consumate their marriage, but graphic novelist Lola has been in love with Oliver from the very beginning. Oliver regrets not taking the chance with Lola when he had it. Will these two geeks figure out how they really feel about each other?
Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden: One Amazon reviewer called this “Big Bang Theory Meets Fifty Shades of Grey.” SOLD! Camilla has a thing for her hunky rocket-scientist neighbor Ivan, who doesn’t seem to know she exists. Ivan prefers the lab to hanging out with people, so he’s surprised to discover how much chemistry the two have. The two have fun together, but will Ivan be able to commit to more than sex?
